Studio on Nantucket: Summer Light

June 6 - June 19, 2010

Nantucket Light 2010 will be an intensive, in–depth painting experience that will use the Plein Air painting approach as a jumping–off point to the summer landscape.

Coastal Ecology

August 1 - August 14, 2010

This marine biology course serves as an introduction to field research methods and will familiarize students with the flora and fauna of the unique island of Nantucket.

Marine and Coastal Ecological Research

July 18 - July 31, 2010

Supervised research on the adaptations and interactions of organisms of the beaches, salt marshes, sand dunes, and embayments of Nantucket.

GIT Data Collection and Field Methods for Coastal Applications

August 2 - August 21, 2010

The course will cover basic Geographic Information Technologies (GIT) and applications used to research, map and analyze coastal phenomena. These include: Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Global Positioning System (GPS); Remote Sensing (RS).

The Adult as Learner

August 1 - August 7, 2010

Students are introduced to the body of knowledge concerning adults as learners.

Communication Theory for Organizations

August 8 - August 14, 2010

This course focuses on the study of communication as applied to instructional technology, and on theories of media communication.
