Grant Activity
The Center has been the recipient of numerous grants to provide specific training or services to particular populations within the vocational education field. Recent awards have addressed the following needs:- Upgrading the technological skills of vocational educators
- Professional development services for home economics teachers
- Leadership skills for vocational student organizations
- In-service training on competency-based vocational education
- State-wide professional development services in the field of applied academics
- Recruitment and training activities to encourage minorities to pursue vocational teaching
- A computer-aided drafting technician program for severely handicapped adults
- New pedagogical techniques for technology education instructors
- Intensive course for mathematics teachers on mathematics in relation to MCAS
