Articulation Agreement
Vocational-technical educators who wish to pursue an associate’s degree upon completion of the 36-credit Vocational Approval course of study may be interested in exploring matriculation into one of the eight community colleges which have articulation agreements with the Center for Technical Education.
Community Colleges
- Bristol Community College
- Bristol Community College will accept 30 credits toward its Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies.
- Bunker Hill Community College
- Bunker Hill Community College will accept 21 credits towards its Associate of Arts in General Concentration Degree.
- Cape Cod Community College
- Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable, MA will accept 30 credits toward an Associate in Arts degree.
- Massachusetts Bay Community College
- Massachusetts Bay Community College, Wellesley, MA will accept 27 credits toward an Associate in Science degree in General Studies.
- Massasoit Community College
- Massasoit Community College, Brockton, MA will accept 18 credits toward an Associate of Science Degree in Liberal Arts.
- North Shore Community College
- North Shore Community College, Danvers, MA will accept 18 credits toward an Associate of Arts Degree in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program.
- Northern Essex Community College
- Northern Essex Community College, Haverhill, MA will accept 21 credits toward its Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies.
- Quinsigamond Community College
- Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, MA will accept 21 credits toward an Associate in Arts degree in their General Studies program.
Undergraduate Degree at UMass Boston
Students can then continue with their education by pursuing an undergraduate degree at the
University of Massachusetts Boston. The University will approve the 60 credits of an Associate’s Degree toward a baccalaureate degree. Of particular interest is the fact that the Center has an additional articulation agreement with the University’s College of Public and Community Service. The College will provide the Center’s students with 8 competencies toward the baccalaureate degree. Vocational Approval students then have only to earn 32 competencies for a baccalaureate degree. In addition, the Center has an agreement with the University’s College of Arts and Sciences whereby CAS may accept 24 credits from the Center’s Vocational-Technical Certification course of study as electives toward a CAS degree.
