Master in Counseling
The Division of Corporate, Continuing, and Distance Education at UMass Boston is proud to offer the Master of Science in Counseling in:
Family Therapy,
Mental Health or
Rehabilitation and the Master of Education in Counseling in
School Counseling.
The MS program prepares its graduates to a vision of strengthening healthy families. The courses lead students to view families as entities within larger social systems and promote collaborative, inclusive, and integrative systems approaches.
It is a 60-credit master’s which meets the academic requirements for licensure in the state of Massachusetts as a Mental Health Counselor (there are additional post graduate clinical experience requirements for licensure).
It is a 60 credit master’s which meets the academic requirements for national certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. The Program is nationally accredited through the Council On Rehabilitation Education.
It is a 60-credit master’s which meets the academic requirements for certification in the state of Massachusetts as a School Counselor.
