Admissions - Frequently Asked Questions
- When is the next enrollment date? When are applications due?
- The next open cohort for which we are currently accepting applications will begin in the Fall. Applications are due no later than February 15. We accept only one cohort per year; it is not possible to begin the program in the Spring semester.
- What are the requirements for admissions?
- The requirements for the online program are the same as for the on-campus program. Please visit both the graduate admissions website and the online program admissions page for specific details.
- Can students be accepted provisionally in the online program?
- No, there is no provisional acceptance.
- Can I take courses before I am officially accepted into the program?
- It is possible to take up to two courses (six credits) as a non-matriculated student before officially beginning the program. If you would like to pursue this option, please email
aplingonline@umb.edu to have your name put on a waiting list of people that we will contact when we know which courses have space available each semester.
- If I have a four-year degree from an English speaking country do I still have to submit TOEFL scores?
- Applicants who have received at least 4 years of education (including their undergraduate program) in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), England, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, United States, or Wales are exempt from submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score report. All others are required to submit official score reports.
