Description for CRMJUS461L: This course provides an historical and sociological analysis of our state and federal court systems, and considers such issues as the rights of indigent defendants, the bail system, right to counsel, and the adversary nature of some proceedings. In addition to classroom work, students undertake supervised field placements in probation offices, parole boards, district attorneys’ offices, and correctional programs.
