- Marlborough High School is looking for an experienced, professional instructor to join our established and growing Mandarin program. The 2010-2011 academic year appointment is for a .8 position, which supports medical and dental benefits, and the opportunity for sustained career development.

- BA, BS or equivalent
- Near native ability in spoken and written English
- Native or near-native spoken Mandarin proficiency
- Literacy in both Simplified and Traditional characters
- Two years teaching Mandarin as a foreign language to North American youth
- Preference will be given to native Mandarin speakers who are currently licensed to teach in Massachusetts, or who are in the process of gaining certification.

- Part-time Chinese Teacher needed for Wayland After School Chinese Program

- Wayland After School Chinese Program is part of Wayland School Community Programs. We have taught Chinese language and culture classes to students in Wayland for 5 years. We have several levels of Chinese language class for grades 1-8 students whose primary language is English. This year, we are going to start beginners class with Ma Li Ping curriculum for heritage speakers. The primary goal of the Chinese language and culture class is to teach communication in both spoken and written Chinese with a strong emphasis on Chinese cultural enrichment.
- We are currently looking for teachers and teacher’s assistants for our after school classes. Curriculum, materials, and resources will be provided through the program. Competitive teaching stipend partly dependent on the class size.
- Time: Mondays (2:45-4:30 pm), Tuesdays (2:30-3:30 pm), and Wednesdays (1:50-3:20 pm).
- Term: mid-September, 2007 through the end of May, 2010-2011 with opportunity to continue in September 2011
- Typical Class size: 4-14 students per class
- Preferred: experience teaching elementary school or middle school aged children, highly motivated educators, strong interpersonal skills.

- K-4 Chinese (Mandarin) Immersion Teachers

- Type of Position: School is expanding, these are new full time positions with benefits, for the 2010-2011 school year with start date in summer 2010.
