The certificate program is designed for those who want to work in a professional setting assisting children and/or adults to become efficient, independent travelers who function safely and confidently in a variety of environments.
Who Is This Program For
There are excellent employment opportunities for Orientation and Mobility Specialists. There is currently a critical shortage both regionally and nationally of Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS). Successful graduates of this program can expect to find employment opportunities in various settings, including state and federal agencies, health and wellness organizations, as well as public and private schools.

Support is available for employment and networking through the Employment Board located on www.nercve.org and through the State Liaisons across New England.
